MIGRACIÓN: REASIGNACIÓN DE ROLES EN ESPACIOS LOCALES Y TRANSNACIONALES [ 02-02-2012 ]

RESUMEN

El trabajo documenta y recupera testimonios de mujeres que permanecen en su comunidad y también de aquellas que cruzan la frontera hacia los Estados Unidos. Si bien quienes salen enfrentan desafíos, pueden encontrar oportunidades que transformen su situación y las que se quedan experimentan cambios debido precisamente a las nuevas responsabilidades que asumen. Se analizan las redes como mecanismo sin el cual no sería posible la continuidad del proceso migratorio. Nos preguntamos: ¿cuál es la percepción que tienen respecto del proceso migratorio, cómo lo viven, cómo lo enfrentan en términos de las dificultades para adaptarse a las nuevas condiciones de vida, en qué trabajan, cómo organizan su tiempo, cuáles son sus expectativas de retorno para las y los que se fueron y cuáles para las parejas de quienes permanecen en la comunidad? En ambos casos también veremos qué sucede con las relaciones de pareja y con hijos e hijas.

 SUMMARY

This work documents and recovers women testimony that remains in their community as well as those that cross the border to the United States. Those who go out face challenge, and can find opportunities that can transform situations and those women that remain at home experiment changes due precisely to the new responsibilities. It´s analyze the net as the mechanism that make possible the continuity of the migratory process. We ask ourselves: ¿what perception they have about the migratory process, how they live it, how they face the difficulties to adapt to the new life conditions, where they work, how the organize their time, what they expect about the return of those who leave and what they expect for those couples which remains in the community? In both cases we will see what happen with the relationship of couple and children.
